MINUSES SUMMARY
With each map he designs, George Fiffy impresses me more. And to think he's doing all of this on a P60! This map is rather similar to his last offering The Unforgiven, yet takes a few steps ahead, most notably in architecture. It's still on the blocky side, but he seems to keep learning new ways to keep it simple, yet make it look complex. With a few subtle rounded corners, and added detail work in the ceiling areas, he manages to pull of a look that appears much more intricate than it really is. Once more, his trademark acton is there. Only 2 weapons, the shotgun and machinegun, will be there for you to use, yet you'll face quite few challenges, big gang-attacks, and enough furious fighting to satisfy anyone. I've said it before, but I'll say it again. There's something sweet about having only the shotgun to battle the Strogg with. I love the SS, but the shotgun makes you earn your victory. Another improvement for George is his layout. Much more intricate than his previous offerings, you'll be engaging in plenty of vertical movement, and the maps has enough twists and turns to make navigation enjoyable. The only downside here is the low end PC the map is designed for/on. Limited PC power is noticable in the low brush count, and small map size. I'd really love to see what he could produce on a powerful system. Bottom Line: this is about as good as it gets from an author with a P60, and I love the action element. Good solid fun here, I highly recommend it.
