MINUSES SUMMARY
This map is Josh's first ever attempt at 3D level design. Taking that into consideration, it is a good effort. It shows signs of creative vision, and the ability to develope interesting lay-out and a variety of locales. Much work is needed before this map would be a playable level. I became trapped in the first room when trying to climb the dirt pile, and also became trapped in the lava room. Both times I was permanently trapped, and had to re-start. The items were placed without any seeming logic, with an armor vest and more than too much ammo for the Automag, yet you face only only a small number of enemies. The lay-out showed some promise, and displayed an effort to be creative and avoid a series of box-like rooms, yet it involved too many Mario-like jumps for me. There was also no end to the map that I could find. I reached a point were it seemed my only choice were to die in a river of lava, or fall into a hole full of lava. I searched for any sort of continuation, but finding none, I quit the map right there. Other errors include: HOM, a spelling error in the Translator message, and unnaturally angular rock formations. For a first attempt, this shows much promise, but for the Unreal player it simply doesn't justify the nearly 3 meg download.
